What is QFD ?

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a Tool that is used to translate customer’s needs to a product or service feature to deliver the desired outcome. Customers express their wants and desires from a product or service which may or may not be explicit. QFD effectively converts these needs to tangible and quantifiable parameters which may then be verified by customers. This is a tool which analyzes and connects the customer expectations to quality characteristics which drives customer satisfaction.
